Exhibit No. 168

Grail Class

The Mayfly Lightsaber

This Exhibit is built by Davinium Customs in a 24-hr challenge to build and install a lightsaber almost completely from scratch. The brief, given one day before, was to build an original trilogy-inspired piece with a thin neck and a windowed emitter. Based on this, Davinium proceeded to design and machine the lightsaber largely from raw metal including brass, aluminium, and titanium as well as wood. The design blends these materials perfectly into a beautiful in-universe design that conveys elegance and functionality. Over a 24-hr period, the saber, including the Proffie-powered Neopixel chassis, was completed, finishing the challenge with a few hours to spare. This is the first saber built by Davinium in the 24-hr challenge.
